Woke up early because I had to arrive at the JET pre-orientation meeting by 8:30 AM. My uncle and I stopped at a coffee shop along to way to get some coffee and to eat some bagels. It was nice to spend a little time with him. I always enjoy speaking with him, but I rarely get the chance.
The JET meeting for the most part wasn’t terribly useful information wise, but I did get to meet several people that will be living in my area. The pre-orientation ended at 5 PM. I stayed for the reception that lasted from 5:30 to 7 PM. I took the metro to Pentagon City and took a cab from there to my uncle’s house. Had a nice talk with the cab driver who was from Ethiopia.
